Comedy writing specialist offers free downloads of two screenplays as examples of his comedy writing skills (screenplays are also for sale). Writing comedy is my specialty. Just read the first few pages of my screenplays, I think you’ll like them. You can download them from the links from the above menu bar.
I’m trying to obtain a literary agent, sell these two comedy screenplays, or get comedy screenwriting gigs. So I’ve decided to put two of my scripts on this website to market them myself. This is also a blog for screenwriters to discuss their ideas on trying to find a literary agent (blog links are at the bottom of the page).
Hello, my name is Brian Orvik, my screenplays are on this website because I’ve sent out hundreds of letters and e-mails to agents, managers, producers, and studios and haven’t got much response. Nobody in Hollywood wants to read my screenplays (maybe you’re a screenwriter and have the same problem). Yes, both these screenplays are for sale.
The first screenplay, “Inheritance Hunt”, is about two brothers that compete against their jerk cousins for a $300 million inheritance.
The second screenplay, “The Accidental Stuntman”, is about a Texas pig rancher who wants to go to Hollywood to become a movie star. He ends up becoming a stuntman whose boss repeatedly tries killing him for the insurance money.
Why would you want to read my screenplays? Because a bunch of my friends and family think they’re funny. But don’t trust me or them, just download a screenplay and read the first three pages. If you don’t like the screenplay after that, delete it from your computer. You can even send me a nasty e-mail if you don’t like it.
I’m going to use this screenplay marketing site as my own personal agent. I will also be posting a blog, you can find the links to the articles at the bottom of this page. These posts will tell of the progress I’m making and new things I try to do to find a literary agent. Please feel free to join me in the blog with whatever ideas and advice that you may have. Yes, this is sort of a reality website.
RULES: There are always rules and this site is no different. You can download them FREE, for a limited time. The screenplays are registered with the U. S. Copyright Office, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED (this means worldwide rights). You can download one copy of each screenplay. You cannot e-mail the screenplays to anyone. On the download pages, at the top of this page, I have posted a copyright notice for each screenplay in its entirety. Please read the copyright notice before you download a screenplay. Both screenplays have humor and situations in them that could be considered racy by some. By the way, most people like “The Accidental Stuntman” better than “Inheritance Hunt”, so you might want to read that one first (I like them both equally).
